GbE MDI - Protection

Hi,
I’ve seen that in the DevKit schematics, there are NO ESD protections for the pairs of GbE.
I couldn’t find any information related to protection for those pins.
Does it mean that those SoC’s pins are protected inside the IC?

Please refer to the Orin NX/Nano Design Guide. GbE PHY on the Jetson module connects to the RJ45 magnetics on the carrier board. Orin SOC pins are not exposed directly to ESD.

I’ve just realized I had typo… I meant “I’ve seen that in the DevKit schematics, there are NO ESD protections for the pairs of GbE.” → No protection for those pins.

What about the PHY pins which are connected directly to the module pins? Are they ESD protected?

Realtek Ethernet PHY RTL8111HNI is ESD protected.
