GE Force 3090ti not recognized on Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS running in Hyper-V

Fresh install of Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS running in Hyper-V under Windows 11.
Ubuntu client boots just fine, seems perfectly operational except for graphics.
Ubuntu is defaulting to llvmpipe basic VGA display.

I have run the driver install and actually manually downloaded the latest from nvidia website NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-515.57.run and ran it but during driver install the installation states that NO GPU is installed, which it is and just as FYI Windows is seeing it perfectly.

nvidia auto update is not working either.

For some reason, which I fail to diagnose, the Ubuntu Hyper-V instance is failing to see the GPU.

I have disabled secured boot in BIOS and also the VM is running with secured boot disabled.

AMD Ryzen 9 5950x

Windows 11 main OS
Hyper-V Ubuntu
Gnome 3.36.8

Any ideas?

Thanks!
