GeForce G210M driver update failing

I am having issues updating my graphics card.

My friend indefinitely lent me his laptop, and after discovering how screwed up it was, I decided to re-install Windows 7 Ultimate. After many updates (and a few more to go), I am still unable to update the graphics card.
The laptop came with Nvidia GeForce G210M Cuda™. Nvidia.com is unable to detect the hardware, the Nvidia Experience application is unable to detect and/or install anything, and several different driver updates (said to be compatible on nvidia.com) have not worked, all due to “incompatibility with the OS” or failure to detect hardware.

After running Belarc Advisor to get my display info, there is nothing about Nvidia, aside from my audio drivers. Instead, I have:
Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family [Display adapter]
Standard VGA Graphics Adapter [Display adapter]

I am tech-savvy on a narrow level with computer tech, but this I don’t understand.
Anyone have advice? Much appreciated,
