Getting started without Kit

i start setting up my host system “Ubuntu 18.04. Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, Nvidia Geforce MX110 2GB Maxwell”
Installation through Nvidia SDK Manager was successful.
But i cant run most of the samples.

Driveworks exception thrown: DW_NOT_SUPPORTED: NVCUVIDDecode: Codec not supported on this GPU

Seems to me like unsupported GPU, but maybe somebody know how to fix for my host system.

Dear @rudolf.zobel,
It is prerequisite to use minimum PASCAL based GPU on host to use DW. It seems you have Maxwell based GPU. Please upgrade your GPU to fix this issue.

Hello @SivaRamaKrishnaNV
that is exactly what i feared. Thanks for your confirmation.
Till i get a development kit, i would do some self study on coding with Drive SDK.
Do you have some tips for me getting started without Kit?
Is there a Simulation Tool for Host System?
Would be great to get best prepared for the upcoming project
Thanks in advance

Hi @rudolf.zobel ,

There is no simulation tool, but there are a variety of DriveWorks Samples that run on the host system as well as the DevKit that would be the best place to get started. We also include some example data to run the samples that work on the host.
