Glitches on moving vertical objects

Hi all,
I’ve noticed some serious glitches most visible when my Nvidia card renders vertical objects moving sideways:

It happens while gaming as well when watching videos. The above “screen-cast” is from Superposition benchmark. The issue is not present when I’m using my AMD iGPU.
Has anyone seen something similar? Is it my card dying or is it a driver/software issue or maybe something even else?

System info:
Gigabyte RTX-3090 eGPU via ADT-Link UT4G adapter, open driver 575.57.08-1, Debian-13, X11.

Thanks! :)

bump up.

Really nobody has ever seen anything similar?

Looks like normal screen tearing?

Many thanks for the explanation! I know nothing about graphics and rarely play any games, so I have never heard of this effect before.

Does it mean that for some reason AMD driver/libs have better default settings to prevent this? Should I try to somehow enable for example v-sync in software where I experience it?

Thanks again!
