GMappingNode - Low radius read from LIDAR when mapping for Global Map


I’m having some issues when trying to map a room with the use of the GMappingNode. The radius of the LIDAR is very low compared to when I’m running LocalMap.

In short:
When using GMappingNode I can’t see the entire room with the LIDAR, and when using LocalMap the entire room is visible. How can I increase the radius of the GMappingNode LIDAR reader when mapping the room?

Hi Emil, what lidar are you using?

We are using a velodyne vlp16.
But we fixed the problem by moving over to the nightly build where this problem seems to be fixed.
