When I install cuda [the latest version Jan 2022] the Gnome desktop stop working.
I installed NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-470.63.01.run
Then I installed cuda from the repos.
Can someone give me debug steeps.
My system is as follows:
OS : CentOS Stream 8 [linux 4.18.0-358.el8.x86_64]
GPU: Quadro RTX 8000

Must I uninstall the Nvidia Linux graphics driver before I install cuda?
I installed cuda as follows:
dnf config-manager --add-repo https://developer.download.nvidia.com/compute/cuda/repos/rhel8/x86_64/cuda-rhel8.reposudo
dnf clean allsudo
dnf -y module install nvidia-driver:latest-dkmssudo
dnf -y install cuda
After a reboot the Gnome 3 desktop stopped working, I get a login screen but after login I get a blank screen
I was not attempting to install TensorRT.

Above issue doesn’t look like TensorRT related.
