Gnome-Shell Wayland randomly turns sceen black

As the previous report about this issue was closed by “buying a radeon GPU” which I do not consider as a “fix” I try reopening this issue.

Every now and then one or both of my displays (depending where my mouse pointer is) turns black for a short period of time and back on. My displays are actually NOT turned off as reported in the earlier report. Instead the shell just went blank.
Letting the mouse pointer rest for a few seconds and leave all buttons go kinda “solves” the issue. Until it happens again.

However I noticed it tend to happen if I move windows around every now and then with the following messages appearing in journalctl:

Feb 27 12:12:28 z004 gnome-shell[2037]: Page flip discarded: drmModeAddFB2 failed (File not found) and drmModeAddFB cannot be used as a fallback because format=0x34325241 (AR24).

There is one entry for each turning black.
This can quickly evolve into several entries.

OS: openSUSE MicroOS
Gnome: 43.3
Wayland: 1.21
Driver: 525.89.02 (but this happened on earlier drivers as well I just never bothered to open an bug report)

As this issue happens pretty random I can’t give any more detailed step-to-reproduce as the ones above.
As soon as I find a more reliable way to reproduce instead of waiting I’ll update this issue accordingly.

Content of my /etc/modprobe.d/50-nvidia.conf:

options nvidia_drm modeset=1
options nvidia NVreg_OpenRmEnableUnsupportedGpus=1
options nvidia NVreg_PreserveVideoMemoryAllocations=1

Yep that looks pretty much like my issue. I’ll mark this as solved as it seems to be a gnome.shell issue.
