Grinch kernel and autosuspend issue

Even if I have flashed correctly the Grinch kernel I keep on having the autosuspend bug.

I’m using a powered USB 3.0 hub, a keyboard and a wired mouse.

Any idea?

I wrote -1 on /sys/module/usbcore/parameters/autosuspend (allanmac solution) but it doesn’t work as well. :/

can you show me your “uname -a”?

Linux tegra-ubuntu 3.10.24-grinch-19.3.5 #3 SMP PREEMPT Fri Aug 22 20:39:21 UTC 2014 armv7l armv7l armv7l GNU/Linux

Strange… Can you show me dmesg when device is going to autosuspend?

Two ideas:

  • Could it be your hub?
  • Did you try enabling USB 3.0?

A USB 3 hub on a USB 2 system should automatically do the right thing and run at USB 2 speeds. Hubs can definitely be an issue, but powered hubs seem to solve a lot of problems when a system doesn’t provide enough power for USB devices attached. I have a feeling that a lot of usb device manufacturers do not test how their devices consume power; even if individual devices consume reasonable power, they add up.
