GTS 450 or GTX 550 Ti GTX 550 Ti memory bug?

Hi,
I will start with some simple CUDA programming at university and think about buying a GTS 450 1GB or a GTX 550 Ti 1GB (limitation caused by my budget). As the memory clock of 550 is higher, I would prefere the GTX 550 Ti, but I read about a memory bug. It is mentioned in the article that only 768MB of the memory can be used. Unfortunately I coudn’t find any further information on this topic.

Does maybe somebody has expiriences with the 550 Ti and CUDA or can give me a suggestion with of the boath cards to buy?

The 550ti is an outstanding card for the money and has the most current tech in it, never heard of a memory bug.

Get a newer revision of GTX 550Ti, which does not have this memory BUG issue, almost all the cards you find in the market now are the newer revisions. If you are in the US, then I suggest you the NVIDIA branded GTX 550Ti from BestBuy!
