GTX 590 3GB shared or not shared

Hi All,

I was thinking of buying a GTX 590 with 3GB memory (I forget which brand it was). The question is the 3GB of memory in there, is it accessible by both the two (GTX 580) chips. Or is it simply 1.5GB per chip?

1.5 per chip.

It is 1.5GB per chip. Any accesses to the other device would go via PCIe.
