So I’m using 3ds Max to create and export HairWorks. My character is an armored animal with fur covering most of its body. The hair shows up fine on the character, but it clips through the armor, completely disregarding it.
Now I figure I could include the armor pieces in the hair mesh to simulate that collision, but the problem is, those armor pieces need to come off of it in real time, so they need to remain as separate objects.
So now for my question, is there a way to make HairWorks hair strands collide with other objects, through use of PhysX simulation? None of the tutorials cover this topic, which seems really baffling to me.
