Hanging on Suse 10.2

While playing with the BlackScholes example in the cuda sdk, I experienced several occasions where linux hangs - for example if I change the value of OPT_N from 20000000 to 15000000 the system freezes solid. ( like molasses in January in a blizzard on Neptune, as some might say )

I am using Suse 10.2 x86_64 with the x86_64-100.14.11 driver, and the cuda sdk 1.0. Does anyone have an idea what is going wrong here? (Reminds me a little of the old Windows 98 days <img src=‘http://hqnveipbwb20/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crying.gif’ class=‘bbc_emoticon’ alt=‘:’(’ /> )

Which card are you using?

XFX GF8800GTS 320 MB- The card is nice and stable under windows, and under linux I haven’t had any problems either. Has very good user reviews here (in German, sorry ): http://www.alternate.de/html/product/userR…rticleId=181574

Do you need any more info?
