If I use the studio driver to record a video or take a screenshot does it preserve the quality of the image or the video? Working with a hybrid workflow to get the 100% sRGB with a i5 and a RTX4050, tried to change the NVIDIA codex to hardware accelerated decoding in the control panel but can’t find it. The I went to try to find the quantization range on the intel pannel but also couldn’t find.

The recording quality depends completely on the tool or application you use to do the recording. All the driver does is provide an API to “do the math”. The settings are defined by the recording app. Some apps offer fine-grained tuning of whatever configurable parameters your chosen video codec offers, some others go with defaults for things like quantization or color conversion settings and make the quality dependent on bitrate.
