X needed FozzyB, not found a way around this unfortunately. I installed the lubuntu-desktop package bundle with a --no-install-recommends to keep the footprint down, pretty lightweight.
ok great ill give that a go,
i am now dual booting the ubuntu install and a windows 7x64 install as i wanted to see the command output there and i am getting the same issue.
driver version on windows = 384.76
“nvidia-smi -q -d SUPPORTED_CLOCKS” shows N/A
“sudo nvidia-smi -ac 4004,1961” shows same message about setting clocks not being supported
nvidia-smi shows P2 (when app is running)
the differnce is i will install afterburner/precision x to get round this but it is interesting i can replicate the same issue.
Hello Guys,
I seek your help. If may I ask, I have a question.
How the hell did you get to run these beast under your control? I tried to tame the with driver, but I cant run them, only on X.Org X.
Would you help me to run my GTX1070 Windforce on any kind of linux?
thank you for all suggestions
