HDMI does not work on Ubuntu 21.10

Hello,

I have NVIDIA RTX 3070 TI on my MSI Raider GE76 Laptop. I dual boot ubuntu with windows. My HDMI does not work on Ubuntu 21.10. Also can not boot on kernel 5.13.0-30 but can boot on kernel 5.13.0-19.

For your 12th gen intel igpu you need kernel 5.15+. Please use the liquorix ppa
https://launchpad.net/~damentz/+archive/ubuntu/liquorix
Furthermore, please remove “nomodeset” kernel parameter.

I have upgraded my kernel to 5.16.0-12.1-liquorix-amd64, removed nomodeset and now it is working :) Thank you very much for quick and working response :)

Hi again;

My HDMI woking as I stated before but now, when I download anything from terminal or software center (maybe from browser, didn’t try this), my computer freezes, I can not move my mouse, type anything or switch application. Here is new bug report:

I have one more problem. I use HDMI and DP at the same time. When I started to use two monitors, there was a color problem. They didn’t show the correct colors. After a short search, I have found that I can fix it using NVIDIA X Server Settings. I implied suggested solution, but sometimes my monitors go back to miss representing color and it fixes after a short period of time. How can I keep color arrangement ? Here is bug report:

I guess color range. I used X Server Settings → GPU 0 → DP-0/HDMI-0 → Color Correction to fix the problem.
I figured out that, if color problem occurs and after problem occurance, everything back to normal if run X Server settings

nvidia-settings resets the color profile, so you should check gnome control center like in the link given, color range is something different
