Host installation is not available for Windows 11?

Hello,

I am trying to use the SDK Manager 2.4.0 and JetPack 6.2.2 with Windows 11 to develop for the Jetson Orin Nano. I had previously been using Ubuntu 24.04, but according to the Base SDKs Host Operating System Compatibility Matrix, Ubuntu 24.04 is not supported for host development, while Windows 11 is.

However, when I use the SDK Manager with Windows 11, it says “host installation is not available for Windows 11” (see attached screenshot). Is there a configuration or something I need to change in order to use Windows 11 for this?

(Ultimately, I am trying to add a kernel driver for a new camera which is not currently supported by default. I have the source file for the driver but am trying to add it to the OS driver files, Makefile, device tree, &c.)

Hi,

Please deselect Host Machine in the SYSTEM CONFIGURATION.

Windows 11 support Jetson device flashing and target components installation only. Host development is not supported.
Sorry for confuse, we will fix it.

Ok, I set up a new Ubuntu 22.04 using WSL and that seems to allow me to check Host Machine using JetPack 6.2.2. Thanks for letting me know.
