We are developing our own humanoid robot and would like to contribute its assets to the Isaac Sim ecosystem, or understand the recommended integration path.
Our robot project is available here:
We are interested in providing:
robot description assets
simulation-related files
meshes / kinematics / dynamics configuration
possible Isaac Sim or Isaac Lab integration support
We would like to ask:
Is there an official contribution process for robot assets/models in Isaac Sim?
Is there a preferred repository, forum category, or submission channel for this?
If direct contribution is not supported, is there a recommended ecosystem or partner pathway for making the robot available to Isaac users?
Our process for officially adding robot assets to Isaac Sim, currently mostly targets the big OEMs. But if you have your USD asset and supporting integrations, we can add a link to it here: Third-Party USD Assets — Isaac Sim Documentation
I’m reaching out on behalf of ONEROBOT, a robotics company developing our own robotic platforms and key hardware components, including in-house robotic actuators/motors.
Given your note that the official process currently mostly targets large OEMs, we would like to better understand whether there is a suitable path for a company like ours to engage more directly with the Isaac Sim ecosystem.
We are interested in exploring:
possible listing of our robot assets in the Isaac Sim ecosystem;
recommended requirements for USD assets and supporting integrations;
whether there is an appropriate channel for further discussion with the relevant team.
If useful, we can provide additional information about our robots, hardware platforms, available simulation assets, and the types of Isaac Sim integrations we are considering.
We would be happy to continue the discussion. Thank you for your time.
