I have some missing textures in my scene. How do I use this “USD paths” utility ?
To use this tool, I have to start with “collect assets” command, is that the idea?

Well first you have to find out what is missing. Is it one texture? Is it 100 textures? Why? What is the pattern? Did you leave a folder called “metals” behind?
Did you do a collect with a folder with a space in the name? Collect does not support spaces in names, so it adds a “%20” to the path.
You have to click on a red object, look at its texture and first find out why it is broken. Then identify that pattern. “Oh its because this whole folder was renamed”.
Once you know why you are missing textures, use the USD PATHS utility to fix them all at once.
Replace “c:/projects/materials/glas” with “c:/projects/materials/glass”
It is a basic “find and replace” system like in any text editor.
