How should I choose the device tree for my customized board?

My environment:
Self-developed baseboards based on Jetson Orin Nx core boards
Jetson_Linux_R36.2.0_aarch64.tbz2
VM development environment for sdk - ubuntu20.04

I have two development boards, one with 8G video memory and one with 16G video memory, when I finished burning with the same sdk package, I booted up and executed the " cat /boot/extlinux/extlinux.conf" command to check and found that they used different device trees.
8G video memory device tree: /boot/dtb/kernel_tegra234-p3768-0000+p3767-0001-nv.dtb
16G video memory device tree: /boot/dtb/kernel_tegra234-p3768-0000+p3767-0000-nv.dtb

May I ask what determines the device tree, is it the core board? I need to determine this for my custom board, thanks!

3767-0000 is Orin NX 16GB module.

3767-0001 is the Orin NX 8GB module.
