I’ve a DGX Spark that I’ve been messing around with, and I’ve a brand new one. Soo, before I start plugging them together, anything I should be aware of ? Or watch out for ?
If you are looking at using the ConnectX-7 ports you’ll need to make sure you have the proper QSFP cables but also be aware there are firmware issues with some systems not recognizing when the cables are connected.
Have a look into eugr’s documentation:
or use sparkrun’s automatic setup
comes with batteries included.
Thanks. Run with that and did a loopback test on my cable. Works out great for a US$25 cable. :-D

I guess I did not ask the right question, it’s more of what else should I watch out for to avoid wasting too much time since I had a box that has been running for a while, does it make senses for me to factory default it .
Ideally both boxes should have the same package and firmware versions.
But it should NOT be necessary to wipe the old box first. The most important part is the correct network configuration for the separate CX7 network. And to have a cable that meets the requirements.
Otherwise you might experience problems not having the “right” cable. At least that is what I got from the different posts in here. Those who failed messed up their networks/IPs or didn’t get a supported cable.
I had no problems with an old box and a new one. The old one still has its first (updated) image. And I was lucky to get an official PNY Spark Cable (Amphenol NJAAKK-N911) before they became rare and the prices climbed.
