Apologies for the confusion. As you know, Ethernet PHY is not included in our carrier board design. In HW, it should be feasible to support ethernet PHY on a custom carrier board. However, SW support does not exist as yet for ethernet PHYs and taking this in to consideration the overall status is that it is not supported. There is no reason that it cannot work but you would need to own it yourself until there is update on the support status.
