How to get NVIDIA Encoder running on Ubuntu 16.04?

I have a NVIDIA Quadro K620 running on a machine with Ubuntu 16.04 (64bit).
According to this website from NVIDIA (https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-video-codec-sdk) I need only to download the video SDK, from this link (https://developer.nvidia.com/video-sdk-601), however, there are only doc and Samples folder, but no libraries for encoding, and the samples don’t build.
I’m using NVIDIA driver version 361.42, which is the recommended by Ubuntu 16.04.

Do someone have had any success trying that?

it works fine under ffmpeg for me if you build with nvenc. not sure about using it without ffmpeg.
