How to make a SSS materials?
We are going to be making one available soon, but you can also create one in UE4 and export to Omniverse as an MDL. Or you can use Substance Designer to make custom SSS MDLs
If you look at the Attic scene, I believe the tent over the chairs has an SSS material.
