How to make CloudXR 2.1 works on HL2

Hi,

We want to use CloudXR2.1 (as well as CloudXR 2.0) to streaming openvr content to HL2, but no video displayed on HL2. The server works fine, and we can see the viewport change when we move our head with HL2. But on client side, we just see three sphere pending there, could you help us to make this work, thanks! The issue exsists both the installed appx and our debug with visual studio. The following is the output in VS2017:

Same issue here! It used to work but now it doesn’t.

We found that HL2 with Windows Holograohic for Business 21H1 (20348.1432) version works, but with performance issue, while the latest OS version (20348.1438) will encounter the above issue.

I’m using build version 21H1 20348.1010. Have you received the 20348.1432 version from Microsoft to flash it via ARC? Updating my HoloLens to the latest OS version sounds like a bad idea then.

Actually, we have two HL2 devices, one with 21H1 (20348.1432) and another with latest OS version (20348.1438) without flashing the OS to the specific version. We agree that update your device to the latest OS version is good idea, and we are looking forward the help from NV developer as well.

Hi folks! Thank you for trying the CloudXR SDK. Unfortunately, we had to suspend support for the HL2 device because our client was not meeting our performance goals. As the Hololens runtime is updated it is very likely that the 2.0/2.1 clients will be affected as we are no longer maintaining them. Please follow this forum thread for the latest information on the Hololens 2 client: Does NVIDIA CloudXR 3.0 include a sample client for HL2?

Hi there! We are looking at how to support HL2 going forward however, we don’t currently have an ETA for that. The forum post above will be updated when we have something to share.
