Hi, there is currently no way to do this directly in KIt/Create. You can hand-edit .usda files to set up Specialize or Inherits arcs between Materials to achieve this. We are looking at adding support in Kit for Specialize arcs to solve this exact problem (among others) so it will be available in a future version.
