hi,guys,I’m here to request some professional advice, please!
windows10, Two monitors,rtxA4000
I have an idea to arrange the monitor up and down, and use mosaic settings to stitch it together into a screen. However, due to the prominent border at the bottom of the monitor, I plan to install the monitor horizontally upside down to ensure the integrity of the splicing screen to the greatest extent possible.
In fact, when setting up Mosaic, both screens must be in the same direction, flipped or not flipped. Through the NVIDIA control panel, I found that it is not possible to set the upper display to flip, while keeping the lower display non flipped before proceeding with Mosaic splicing. Is there a way to implement this setting?
pls see this similar post and answer: Horizontally mirror flipping - #2 by Frank_Quadro
Basically there is a solution only avail on Ampere and Ada generation of professional RTX GPUs (RTX A2000 and up/newer 2000 class GPU): these can flip a scanout in HW, so no extra latency. To easily activate this option, a commandlinetool is to be used:
configureMosaic (Mosaic Utility Driver ).
pls run the tool in a admin cmd, without options, it will then provide you with guidance for syntax with the help and detailed options for the tool.
Hello, Frank!
Thank you very much for your reply. Today, I conducted a test, downloaded configureMosaic. exe, read the help file, and Google how to use configureMosaic. However, I still haven’t learned how to set up a separate screen in Mosaic settings.
Now I can use the command line to set multiple grids (screens), which is the extended screen mode, to control the orientation of each screen separately. I can also use the command line to perform mosaic settings on two screens, merge them into one screen, and control their overall orientation.
But I am still unable to perform Mosaic settings on both screens. While synthesizing one screen, I control one of the screens to flip in direction. I may not fully understand the help document. Can you give me a hint on which parameters should I use to set it? I am not very familiar with this setting, and I hope you can give me some suggestions. Thank you very much!
Hi,Frank!
I achieved the desired effect using configureMosaic. exe. The method is for me to follow posts on similar issues in the technical community. Using parameters such as mirroring, vhm, nm, etc., it was ultimately implemented on RTX A4000. Thank you again for your help and advice, sincerely thank you!
