I am using audio2face and just want to make a simple narrator video with a transparent background such that I can overlay it on my PowerPoint presentation or in Camtasia or OBS.
I succeeded in getting the Alien to narrate the wav file. I installed this “Kit Image and Video Capture” plugin but it did not insert itself where it was supposed to insert. It was supposed to add one extra submenu item on the rendering menu. It is not there.
Am I doing something wrong? I added that extension and enabled it.
Is this the easiest path? I know that the software is changing very fast and there is a possibility that this extension is broken.
Unfortunately, there’s no option to capture the video while Audio2Face Player is playing, other than using OBS Studio.
But if you cache the result so it can be played using the actual timeline (not the A2F player), then they could use omni.kit.window.movie_capture extension to record the result into image sequence.
There is no rendering menu option. I don’t get access to the Rendering submenu.
I am very green… I started playing with Omniverse a few days ago and don’t know how to access the timeline, or how to turn on the cache. That said, I created a Cache during the installation. A2F tells me that the cache is on. I suppose the information will be stored somewhere.
Could you detail more what do you mean by: But if you cache the result so it can be played using the actual timeline (not the A2F player), then they could use omni.kit.window.movie_capture extension to record the result into image sequence.
I suppose, I would run A2F (the cache is on) and that would store the playing in a cache folder.
The next step is obscure. What would be the program that I can use to play “the actual timeline”.
It is not clear I installed omni.kit.window.moview_capture. How to install that. The only app I found is the Image Kit and Video Capture (which I suppose is not the same and it is not available).
Create geometry cache from A2F Data Conversion tab -> Common Settings and A2F Data Conversion tab -> Geometry Cache sections. This will generate a new .usd file which you can open using Audio2Face
Step 3:
After opening this file, you can play the animtion from timeline, by opening it from Window -> Animation -> Timeline.
Step 4:
Install USD Composer from Launcher
Open it and install omni.kit.window.movie_capture from Window -> Extensions and activate it. This will add the Rendering sub-menu to Window menu.
Step 5:
Open the cached .usd file inside USD Composer.
Use Window -> Rendering -> Movie Capture UI to save out image sequence of the animation.
