How to verify that the displays are using integrated graphics and GPU (CUDA) is being used only for computational tasks?

Hello there.

Was able to successfully install CUDA 11 through this detailed and impressive guide. Although it wasn’t straight forward, but eventually completed the installation after a couple of unsuccessful attempts. Have verified the installation, and can see that the
nvidia-persistenced is loaded and active.

However, its the Nvidia GPU that’s visible all over my system, be it specialized applications or plain system settings.
I want to ensure that my displays exploit the integrated Intel graphics controller, and the Nvidia GPU is dedicatedly used for computational tasks.

It would be really appreciable if anyone could guide me through that.

My machine, MSI GV62 7RD, has an Nvidia GTX1050, and is running Ubuntu20.04.
