HTTP Error 401 for multimedia api with jetpack 4.6

Yesterday I used the sdkmanager for jetpack 4.6 to refresh my TX2 and TX1. While the TX2 installed fine, the TX1 failes to retrieve the multimedia API package. This is the only package that fails (packages before and after it download fine) and it fails with error 401 (unauthorized). Any idea how to fix this?

Here’s a portion of the log:

Hi,
Please try to install it through apt install:

$ sudo apt install nvidia-l4t-jetson-multimedia-api=32.6.1-20210726122000

Thanks, I can give that a try…however the documentation explicitly says you can’t do this. is it out of date?

Installing the APIs

You must install the Multimedia APIs with NVIDIA JetPack™. You cannot install them as a stand-alone package. You can download JetPack from the NVIDIA Embedded Download Center.

That installed successfully. Thanks!

Hi,
On latest release we can install SDK components through apt commands. Please refer to Update Packages for Jetson Devices
