I am trying to flash a usb drive with a bare bones ubuntu focal install but I keep getting this error
If you edit your post with three backquote characters on their own line above and again below the failed command, then it’ll format it correctly and add scrollbars. Like this (I’m escaping so it shows up):
I see two forward slashes in the destination path, and if that is not a typographic error, then this would cause a failure. Also, if the destination directory does not yet exist, you’d have to first create it.
I’m not really sure if what you are doing is valid, but I guess it depends on what is being copied where being in place first, and then talking about the logic after that.
Sorry about the formatting I’ll remember that next time. I discovered the problem later was that the installer was looking for a file 2 levels down that didn’t exist.
