Image resolution changes

Hi there,

Does changing the image resolution for libargus camera capture change the amount of data coming in at the sensor level or is it happening at the ISP level? Are there registers that can be changed for the sensors that allow it to reduce the throughput (and thus bandwidth) of the image?

hello jjag4724,

it’s actually VIC (i.e. Video Image Compositor) engine to handle scaling.
if you’re going to reduce the bandwidth, you should configure from the sensor driver side to output lower resolution or slower frame-rate.
