IMX258, Jetson TX1 and stereo cameras configuration

I am looking at connecting up to 6 IMX258 cameras in 1080p configuration to the TX1 board.

There is a line in the TX1 spec that says:
“you can connect Up to two quad lane stereo cameras or 6 dual lane camera streams are available”

can i connect two IMX258 cameras as the stereo cameras, and another 4 HD camera, all using 2 MIPI lanes each ?

I am not sure that the stereo configuration disable other MIPI lanes or not, and how the stereo configuration would effect all other channels.

For example, can i connect the two cameras to the same MIPI input , each using 2 differential lanes, configured to stereo mode, and use the other lanes as usual ? (2 x 4K or 4 x HD )

Do yo mean ""NVIDIA JETSON TX1 MIPI DSI/CSI DESIGN AND TUNING document ?
there is no information about the stereo mode there.

For the HW tegra there’s no any different for the stereo mode and normally mode. They just two sensor connect to Tegra. I think the stereo camera need software implement. And also may need confirm this sensor support frame sync for each others.
