In DS6.2, the deepstream-app app succeeds or fails depending on the enable value (0 or 1) of [sink0]

Please provide complete information as applicable to your setup.

**• Jetson AGX Xavier Developer Kit
**• DS6.2
**• JetPack 5.1.1

After installing DS6.2 and compiling deepstream-app, when the three files below are executed, the deepstream-app app succeeds or fails depending on the enable value (0 or 1) of [sink0].

→ source4_1080p_dec_infer-resnet_tracker_sgie_tiled_display_int8.txt
→ source30_1080p_dec_infer-resnet_tiled_display_int8.txt
→ source30_1080p_dec_preprocess_infer-resnet_tiled_display_int8.ㅅㅌㅅ

[sink0]
enable=0 <------
type=2
sync=1
source-id=0
gpu-id=0
nvbuf-memory-type=0

If [sink0] is set to enable=0, the app works normally.

@ubuntu:~/ds62/sources/apps/sample_apps/deepstream-app$ ./deepstream-app -c …/…/…/…/samples/configs/deepstream-app/source30_1080p_dec_infer-resnet_tiled_display_int8.txt

I don’t know what the problem is.
Any help would be appreciated.

  1. Setting enable=1 on [sink0] will use nv3dsink to render, could you share more logs? please do “export GST_DEBUG=6” first to modify Gstreamer’s log level, then run again, you can redirect the logs to a file.
  2. can the simplest sample deepstream-test1 work fine? can you see the rendering video?
  3. if did not care about the rendering, you can set type to 1 or 3 in [sink0], it will not render the output video.

In [sink0], only type=1 operates normally, and all 2,3,4,5 fail. Could you please confirm if the same problem occurs with the Orin module as well?
Video rendering (type=5) is not required, but it is used only during development because the results can be checked quickly during development.

noticing you are using xavier, why need to test orin? on my xivar +ds6.2, deepstream-app with “type=3” works fine, here is the log:
type3.txt (21.5 KB)
could you share your whole log of “type=3”?

We are currently developing a carrier board for Orin. It is because we plan to proceed with the current project with Orin NX when the development is completed soon.
Thanks for sending the logs. I’ll look into the problem and share the logs soon

There is no update from you for a period, assuming this is not an issue anymore. Hence we are closing this topic. If need further support, please open a new one. Thanks

Sorry for the late reply, Is this still an DeepStream issue to support? Thanks
