Hi all,
I’m trying to get my quadro k620 to work on an old dell Inspiron 530, so that I can run a CNC machine that requires OpenGL 3.2
At first, I was able to navigate the BIOS menu with my GPU, but the computer would just restart after selecting the OS in grub.
I was able to load the OS a few times and even login once after purging and reinstalling drivers via
sudo apt-get --purge remove "*nvidia*"
sudo apt update
sudo apt install nvidia-driver firmware-misc-nonfree
I’m not consistently getting to use the GPU, but I was able to use nvidia-detect
and see my k620 (thru ssh I believe).
I was able to create a bug report via ssh too. I made a couple during different boots, but there was no tinkering in-between.
I’ve combed thru and getting confused. It looks like the Gpu is both recognized and not at the same time. Maybe the display active: disabled line is a key, but I’m not sure how to enable it, since I already have it turned on in my BIOS
can someone please help me out with this?
