Inquiry Regarding the Status of the omni.isaac.gamepad Extension

Dear NVIDIA Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to seek clarification on the status and usage of the omni.isaac.gamepad extension in Isaac Sim.

Background

I referred to the Gamepad Manipulation site, and the sample using OmniGraph worked successfully. However, I encountered some issues:

  1. I was unable to find the omni.isaac.gamepad extension in the Extension View.
  2. The directory $HOME/.local/share/ov/pkg/isaac-sim-2023.1.1/exts/omni.isaac.gamepad does not exist.

Questions

  1. Has the omni.isaac.gamepad extension been deprecated?
  2. Is using OmniGraph, as shown in the sample, the only way to use a gamepad in Isaac Sim?
