Install process for El Capitan

Hi,

ISSUE #1

I am a attempting to install on a researchers laptop and have not been able to get it to work with the developer license.

We did not use ‘localhost’ as the host name but saw in the forums that you can edit the license file and change the hostname to ‘localhost’. The license server starts and gives no indication of problems. When we try to use the compilers this is the error:

chem-clb3.chem.lsa.umich.edu 115% make all
pgcc -g -fast -Minfo=all -c Nbody_basic_verlet.c
pgcc: LICENSE MANAGER PROBLEM:
For further information, refer to the FLEXnet Licensing documentation,
available at “www.flexerasoftware.com”.
make: *** [Nbody_basic_verlet.o] Error 2

The compilers work if we generate a trial license. remote login is enabled in the sharing dialog.

Issue #2

I created a PIN for my MAC to try to resolve the above issue and when I try to generate a license it says the license expired the same time it was created. I also created a PIN for my Linux machine. It may be the case I am only allowed one.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

David

Hi David,

Unfortunately we don’t support El Capitan as of yet. We currently expect it to be available early next year.

Best Regards,
Mat
