Installation freezes computer at end of driver installtion

Hello!
I tried to find this issue here, but cannot find it , therefore am opening a Topic.

My laptop, " 2021 ROG Strix G15 G513QC " has a " NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 4GB GDDR6 VRAM ". As recommended of NVIDIA’s drivers website, I have downloaded " NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-550.90.07.run " since the driver offered by my Linux Distro didn’t seem to work with my GPU, only a customized version. However, I would love to run the proprietary drivers, made to work with my GPU.

+to note, I am running Linux as a dual boot on an external hard drive in the short meantime that I sort my things to get rid of Windows 11 OS. The specs are as follows; ( 500 GB Flash memory size, Hard Disk Interface ‎USB 2.0/3.0 , Hard drive rotational speed ‎5400 RPM )

I use Linux Mint cinnamon 21.3 x86_64 with 6.9.7-x64v3-xanmod1. I have tried different recommended default Kernals that didn’t seem to change anything for the installation of my GPU driver.
My CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX with Radeon

What happens, is towards the end of the driver installation my computer will freeze; the screen stop showing movement, the sound in the background will continue for a few seconds until it loops, sometimes picking up again before stopping all at once, and never return to normal until I restart my OS. And often after this happens, I will enter a weird display of login that shows no GUI, and doesn’t let me enter my password. Additionally, sometimes it won’t even load into a normal boot, I have to load the recovery one.

As you can see, i’ve had multiple retries, and wondering …“what am I doing wrong?”

I really want to continue Linux, I feel much better with this OS… Is there a solution for me to install the drivers, without it freezing my screen, rendering my computer unusable until I hard reset my computer?

-I don’t have the files required to do an NVIDIA-bug-report , and I am scared to install anything else as I don’t want to hard reboot my computer too many times. I’ve heard that it may be damaging.
