this morning I installed pgi 19.10 community. Starting after installation it asks a 6 digit license number, no other choices. Didi I something wrong?

You must have run the license tool. You only need to do this is you have Professional Edition license. For the Community Edition, you can just ignore the prompt to generate a license. The Community Edition license should be installed by default.
