I tried installing Cuda for mac toolkit here https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-10.2-download-archive and driver here https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/cuda/macosx-cuda-418-105-driver/.
This actually did download the folder here /usr/local/cuda like it said it would. But this is just a folder with a bunch of symlinks to /Developer/NVIDIA/CUDA-#.# which I don’t have! So they’re just symlinks pointing to a location that doesn’t exist.
I at least know that some of the driver was also partially installed because
$kextstat | grep -i cuda
186 0 0xffffff7f854c2000 0x2000 0x2000 com.nvidia.CUDA (1.1.0) 50F4AE08-3D20-3B13-B36D-439DEEB1D49C <5 1>
and this file exists
But again there’s nothing in my Developer folder. I actually don’t even have a /Developer folder nor can I create one because it’s read-only permissions that high up in the file system. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
