Installing MOFED 2.1 on selected path

Hello,

I am installing the latest MOFED 2.1. and I am trying to see if it is possible to install it under a non-default prefix (say under /opt). Ther stock OFED allows this by the -prefix (IIRW) option. Is this possible with MOFED and are there any good reason NOT to select a non-default installation path?

Hi michael-t,

I don’t think that is not supported. I read the mlnxofedinstall perl script and I don’t see an option there.

Paklui,thanks. I couldn’t find the --prefix option either. This is

available with stock OFEDs.

That is OK though. I only wanted to install things in /opt to differentiate

from the stock OFED.
