Installing multiple NVIDIA Drivers with newer kernel(s) fails to install or breaks GDM

The drivers in question are 525.147.05, 535.216.01, 535.230.02, 5550.142, or 550.144.03

So installing on RHEL8.10, when I use kernel 4.18.0-553.22.1 and NVIDIA driver 525.147.05, everything works as intended. When installing a blanketed install for kernel-4.18.0-553.36.1.el8_10.x86_64.rpm with the same NVIDIA drivers (or the 4 additional drivers listed), I get a failed NVIDIA install: “Unable to load the kernel module ‘nvidia -modeset.ko.’” Additionally, when running modprobe nvidia, I get "Modprobe:FATAL: module nvidia not found in directory. Note: Nouveau is blacklisted as well.
If I try to do an in-place upgrade from the previous kernel (yum upgrade) and then upgrade the NVIDIA driver, it gets stuck on Starting GDM on the initial boot screen. And then if you try to get into another tty session, it goes back to the starting GDM screen.
This is an isolated lab so I cannot attach screenshots.
Any help is appreciated here. I have tried many additional kernels and NVIDIA drivers but it seems I am definitely missing something here.
Thank you in advanced.

are you able to attach nvidia-bug-report.log.gz file? otherwise it will be virtually impossible for anyone to help, I’m afraid…

Also, 4.x is really an archaic kernel…

Anyway, try the newest driver version 570: maybe it will help.

I will once I get power back to the lab (probably won’t be until tomorrow–I apologize).

nvidia-bug-report.log.tar.gz (5.4 KB)
Good morning morgwai.

I apologize for the delay, we just got power back. Please see attached!

I was able to solve this by removing all blacklist .conf from /etc/modprobe.d/
Just note, this doesn’t change nouveau as it is blacklisted in grub
