Installing PGI17.10 Community Edition with VS 2017

On a windows 10 machine I have the required SDK and visual studio 17 installed.

But when I try and install PGI17.10 it says I must have visual studio 15 installed.

Is there a work around to allow me to use visual studio 17 or is this a necessary step?

No workaround for VS 2017.

We use utils associated with VS 2015. The fact VS 2017 does not work
with the same is due to Microsoft.

We will support it in 2018, but I am not sure which release.

Thanks. I installed VS2015 and then it installed fine.
