Is anyone actually getting CloudXR 6.2 to stream to the Vision Pro, or are we all just collectively pretending the Foveated Streaming framework works?

Everything looks perfect on paper. The built-in Bonjour discovery pairs instantly, but the moment the native OS-level Foveated Streaming kicks in: Failed Watchdog timeout in MessageChannel followed immediately by a complete drop in the dynamic streaming bitrate.

I’ve checked the two-way message channel, tweaked the H.265 codec selection, and made sure the OpenXR loader is pointed correctly on the server. It still completely chokes and drops back to uniform-quality frames after 10 seconds.

Is this a known CloudXR Framework bug with Apple’s eye-tracking data, or did I miss a foundational step in the SwiftUI/RealityKit integration? If you’ve successfully deployed an enterprise app to Vision Pro over CloudXR without losing your sanity, please drop your wisdom below.

Hi nirholas,

Thanks for reporting the issue. It sounds like there is a connection issue that affects the streaming quality significantly. For us to better triage your issue, can you try our example and let us know what works and what does not in your setup?

We have two examples for Apple Vision Pro:

Example A: standalone CloudXR Framework without dynamic foveated Streaming.

Example B: Foveated Streaming

I will recommend starting with Example A to see whether the same issue is reproduced. If it is, share the client and server logs, as they will be helpful for troubleshooting: Troubleshooting — NVIDIA CloudXR SDK
