NVCC is based on open64, which is a open source compiler. I guess NVCC is also open source. But I cannot find a site where I can download the source package. So is it really open source or not? Where can I get the source code if it is open source?

The Open64 source files are controlled under terms of the GPL license.
Current and previously released versions are located via anonymous ftp at
download.nvidia.com in the CUDAOpen64 directory.
nvcc is the copiler driver and I guess is not released under GPL. nvopencc is based on open64 and hence is available with source code.
