Is real-timeH.264 Encoding 1080p on Tegra 3 possible?

Hello all,

i need to encode 1080p video from our special camera into H.264 (or VP8 - better) real-time on Tegra3 (Apalis board under Linux). Is it possible? I have read many posts, but still have no clear answer. Official pages say 1080p H264 - YES (but nothing more…which OS, how stable, licensing or free, etc).

Has anybody any experiences with? Which codec to use, which tools (CUDA or not).

Thank you.
Ondra

Did you check the documentation package in https://developer.nvidia.com/linux-tegra? That seems to include quite exact information related to video encoders in L4T.

L4T uses GStreamer multimedia framework for audio/video encoding and decoding.
