Is there a way to decrease Cuda 11.1's installation size on Ubuntu

Cuda 11.1 + cudnn 8 are taking almost 10gb on my ssd. Since I only partitioned 50gb for Ubuntu, I don’t have the luxury to give 10gb of it. Ubuntu’s nvidia-cuda-toolkit with cudnn takes 3gb if I remember correctly in comparison. I’ll only be using it for machine learning. Is there a way to decrease the installation size, if so which packages should I dismiss? I am using ‘cuda-toolkit-11-1’ to install it right now. Thank you for your help.

Edit: I think the problem is cudnn8. It takes more than 7gb by itself. Cuda 11.1 installation size seems usual.
