Is there any API / Way to update the Monitor's Firmware?

Hello All,
I am Trying to develope a generic solution that updates the Monitor Firmware.
The solution shall work for any kind of card.
So if the card is NVIDIA, is there some approach or a procedure / step by step process to implement the same in my Solution.

Any pointers will be really really helpful.
