I would like to listen Spotify while building AI.
This seems like a general Ubuntu issue as DGX OS is built on Ubuntu 24.04. You would need to direct your question to others for this
Not sure if I understand this response, I have ubuntu 24.04 in three linux machines with intel or amd processors and all have support for widevine cdm…. this is very specific of DGX Spark and arm
What issue or error message are you seeing? More specific information would be appreciated
“Playback of protected content is not enabled” error message
This message is in Firefox browser, and in the spotify instructions to solve this problem they say:
Click Enable DRM in the yellow warning bar at the top of the screen.
If you don’t see the yellow bar:
In your browser address bar, enter about:preferences#content
Under DRM content, switch on Play DRM.
but this option does not exist in Firefox in DGX Spark but it does exists in Ubuntu 24.04 in the Intel/AMD versions
btw, the same problem happens in a raspberry pi…
If you have a device with DRM (like your phone) and Spotify installed you can stream to DGX Spark using spotifyd: GitHub - Spotifyd/spotifyd: A spotify daemon
Since I needed the usb ports for peripherals I plugged my speaker system into my monitor and output the sound to that.
You may need to do this to get it working:
adding 0.0.0.0 apresolve.spotify.com to /etc/hosts as suggested here fixed it!
It seems there is no publicly available Widevine for 64-bit ARM based systems. It seems some people have been able to get around it though you may have to do some searching.
Just to add since this broke, the new way to fix it is here: Fix "Track should be available, but no alternatives found." · Issue #1370 · Spotifyd/spotifyd · GitHub
