Is there any way to increase the FPS of ROS camera?

My scene can run 50-60 fps, however when enabled ROS camera, the FPS drops to 25-26, way much lower. I wonder whether the fps can be changed to a specific value by users, just as many cameras do.

Is the ROS camera data being used locally or is it being published to a different machine?
Which data is being published, just RGB, or depth, segmentaion and bounding box as well?
Does performance change depending on what options are enabled?

Depending on where the data is being published, or the types of data being published there can be more overhead.

I only publish RGB to local machine. Without enabling ROS, the scene can run around 56-60 FPS. But it drops to 25-26 FPS after enabling ROS.
